I believe a man walked the earth and gave his life
To give us rebirth
I believe he laid out the path to salvation

I believe a baby was born in a manger
And something to see
I believe he grew up in Naz’reth, a righteous man
Preparing the way; And I believe he knew

I’m a witness; He’s the One I know
As Wonderful counselor to me
In my weakness; He’s the rock of life
Lifting me up so I can breathe

I believe he overcame death after three days
Declaring a win
I believe he knows what he’s doing, he’s waiting
To come back again; And I believe he’s due, he’s due

I believe he chose his disciples
From men just like me
I believe he walked out on water
And helped them to see

I’m a witness; He’s the One I know
As Wonderful counselor to me
In my weakness; He’s the rock of life
Lifting me up so I can breathe

I was undone, a reticent one
What was I afraid of?
Look at me now, say it out loud
What a believer I’ve become

I believe he’s listening right now if you pray to him
I know this to be
I believe he rescues the weary in times of need
He’s done this for me; And I believe he’s with you
